Certificate of Wildlife Management
People in the animal world
Increasing concern about nature and wildlife is now being matched by a rising demand for zoological engineers - professionals who manage wildlife, either under controlled conditions in zoos and captive-breeding programmes (so-called ex-situ conditions); or in its natural habitat. Van Hall Larenstein is proud to provide a Bachelor degree programme that not only contributes to animal management worldwide, but is also unique within the European Union: the Wildlife Management specialisation of its programme in Animal Management.

This one-year certificate programme trains people to deal with the many issues of wildlife management. By presenting the basic ecological and socio-economic principles that underlie all natural resources management, it is applicable to any international situation. Our graduates are equipped with the skills that enable them to work effectively in international teams and to devise sustainable solutions to the problems they encounter. Most find work with governmental organisations and NGOs.
