Bachelor application non-European students
Wageningen
If you want to apply for a (Final Phase) Bachelor in Wageningen, you have to apply through the following application form.
Velp
If you want to apply for a Final Phase Bachelor in Velp, you have to apply through the following application form.
Leeuwarden
If you want to apply for a study (Bachelor, Final Phase or Certificate Programme) in Leeuwarden, you have to apply through the following application form.
NB - Please note that you need to register for a course at the educational institution of your choice before you apply for a grant of scholarship!
Next..
You must supply the following documents:
- a completed application form
- a copy of your ID or passport
- official transcript of records of all previous education
(secondary and University level, courses, etc)
- lists of marks
- an official English language score (preferably TOEFL or IELTS)
for non-native speakers only
- a CV / resume
- a passport-sized photo
- a legalised birth certificate
- a letter of motivation
- students originating from China a NESO-certificate
- certification and translation of documents is required when documents are not written in one of the following languages: Dutch, English, French, Spanish or German.
For students already living/ studying in the Netherlands, please add the following:
- A copy of valid resident permit
- Proof of current insurance
Conditional admittance
Once a completed application (including all pertaining documents) has been received, it will be given careful consideration. After a positive screening of your application you will receive an official letter and/or email stating that you have been conditionally admitted.
Final admittance
You finalise your admittance by depositing the applicable tuition fees yourself, or through the arranged sponsorship/ scholarship. The bank-account of Van Hall Larenstein is mentioned in the conditional admittance letter you will recieve. Upon receipt of this payment, your admission becomes final and we will send you a letter to confirm this.
Van Hall Larenstein will then start the visa procedure. The Dutch Embassy or consulate in your country will contact you on the outcome of the visa procedure. You have to go with your passport and birth certificate to the Dutch Embassy/Consulate in your country where the visa will be issued. For more information about visa click here.
You can arrange your trip to the Netherlands and should arrive between August 10 - 13, 2009. If you have definite travel data, please inform us.
If you have applied for a study in Wageningen/Velp, you will receive an introduction set by mail, containing practical information regarding the introduction week, the year roster, etc.
If you have applied in Leeuwarden, you will be handed the introduction set upon arrival.
