Ours is not just a regional function. We provide a number of educations that are unique in the Netherlands (such as garden- and landscape design or animal management) and the influx is nation wide. To that purpose we not only have contact with regional Agricultural Trainng Centres but also with those outside our region that provide education in related areas. For that same reason our contacts with the professional field can be found throughout the whole country, for example with relevant research institutes, professional unions and companies.
Van Hall Larenstein emphatically chooses collaboration within our sector. Through the administrative merger with Wageningen University and Research Centre we are closely knit to the only university in our sector since January 1, 2004. We also aim for further collaboration within the chain of knowledge with other parts of the WUR.
Noordelijke Hogeschool Leeuwarden
In combination with the Noordelijke Hogeschool Leeuwarden Van Hall Larenstein has bundled five educations under the denominator Life Sciences.
As a result of this collaboration the student can use the facilities on both colleges. You study at the Human Health Science Parc, Van Hall Larenstein's location in Leeuwarden. Modern computers, laboratory spaces with high quality equipment, a spacious and green environment, a comfortable cafeteria... all facilities close at hand.
Hogeschool Arnhem Nijmegen (HAN)
In a number of areas the Van Hall Larenstein is working together with the HAN. There is an intense collaboration on a project that will ultimately lead to a joint minor 'Natuur, gezondheid en recreatie' (Nature, Health, and Recreation).
Students who choose to study International Timber Trade, major of the bachelor Forestry and Nature Management are studying for six months 'International Business Studies' at the HAN. Moreover, students at the HAN are increasingly mentored during their graduation by our teachers. Our teachers also provide practical lessons at the HAN on a regular basis.
